Jovana Mirabile is a New York based designer specializing in fashion print and embellishment. With over 7 years of industry experience, Jovana has designed for high profile designers and brands in both the US and UK.
Raised in Kansas, Jovana had big dreams of moving to New York to pursue her love of art and design. In 2011 Jovana graduated from Parsons The New School For Design, having been named Student of the Year and nominated for Designer of the Year. During her time at Parsons she won the AirDye print design sponsorship and Shoe Polytechnic Award, where her shoe designs were hand crafted in Italy. Upon graduation she landed her dream job and moved to London to work for renown British designer Matthew Williamson. After working in London for 2 years, Jovana moved back to the US to work for Alice and Olivia. Having worked for very textile driven brands, Jovana was inspired to branch out on her own and sell her print designs and embroidery swatches, while beginning to build a brand of her own.
Inspired greatly by nature, many of Jovana’s prints embody hand drawn and painted floral elements. Color and texture are a key part of her vision. As an avid flea market shopper, vintage references and techniques, utilized in a modern way, are found in her work.
Jovana offers freelance design services, including personal commissions, original artwork, repeats and placements, illustration, and technical drawings. All prints are provided in layered Photoshop or Illustrator files. Always open to new ideas and collaborations, Jovana provides a very refreshing and positive experience for her clients.
